Local Foodies Gorge at Fork Fest
For Immediate Release:
July 7, 2011, EDMONTON, AB – Live Local Alberta, a local non-profit, presents the summer 2011 round of Fork Fest, with 14 participating restaurants spanning over 10 days in July. The participating restaurants have created $25 and $45, multi-course menus to celebrate exceptional culinary options in Edmonton.
Fork Fest is a semi annual 10 day event that runs in January and July of each year. This is the 11th consecutive Fork Fest and will run July 17-21 & 24-28, 2011 at 14 local Edmonton restaurants. The event will take place simultaneously at all participating restaurants. (See below for a list.)
Each locally-owned restaurant is tasked with creating the best multi-course meal they can for a fixed price. Local entrepreneur and owner of Edmonton’s Accent Lounge, Garrett Boyko, says “Fork Fest is the best chance for new customers to experience what our local restaurant scene has to offer. Accent is always excited to be involved and you can be assured of tasting some of Edmonton’s most delicious and exciting cuisine.“
Boyko adds “Don’t wait too long to make your reservations. Edmonton’s food enthusiasts never fail to make Fork Fest the busiest time of the year."
